Focus Atlas 6.7 F26 Steel Grey / Diamond Black Medium
The Atlas is Focus’s do-everything gravel bike, and the 6.7 is the version that makes sense for most people who actually ride gravel rather than race it.
The headline is the gearing. A 40 tooth chainring against an 11-50 cassette gives you a bail-out gear low enough for a loaded bike on a steep dirt pinch, which is the gear you want and rarely get at this price. Shimano’s Cues groupset is the newer value range, and its real appeal is boring and practical: parts are shared across a wide span of the Shimano line, so servicing it in five years will not be an archaeology project.
Aluminium frame, carbon fork, and 45mm Schwalbe G-One Bite tyres that come tubeless ready. That is enough tyre for the rail trails and the gravel roads through the Goulburn Valley without feeling slow on the bitumen getting there.
WHO IT SUITS
Gravel riders, bikepackers, and commuters who want one bike that handles an unsealed road without complaint. Also a sensible second bike for a roadie who wants to get off the highway.
Worth knowing: permissible system weight is 135 kg including rider, bike and luggage, which is generous if you are actually loading it up.
