The Focus Izalco Max 9.7 is a light, fast aero race bike for riders who want speed everywhere: on the flat, in the bunch and up the climbs. This 2026 build pairs the 865 g MAX carbon frame and Reserve One Piece cockpit with Shimano Ultegra Di2 12 speed, a 4iiii power meter and Reserve 40|44 carbon wheels, for a complete bike weight of around 7.5 kg.
Aero without the weight penalty
Wind tunnel refined NACA tube shapes cut drag and help you carry speed with less effort. Despite the aero focus, the frame weighs just 865 g in a size medium, with a 400 g fork. It's light enough to climb well and slippery enough to hold speed on the flat.
Clean, integrated front end
The Reserve One Piece carbon cockpit hides the cables for a cleaner look, better aerodynamics and a stiffer, more precise front end. It sharpens the handling and keeps the whole bike looking race ready.
Stiff, direct and data ready
The bottom bracket area is built for maximum stiffness and the fork for lateral stiffness, so your power goes straight into the road and the bike holds its line through fast corners. Shimano Ultegra Di2 gives fast, reliable electronic shifting under load, and the 4iiii Precision power meter built into the crankset gives you accurate watts for training and racing.
